#STOP ASIAN HATE Campaign

In March 2021, CEAS co-launched a collaborative project with the Graduate Institute Student Association (GISA) and Student initiative on Asia (SIA) to show solidarity with the stop-Asian hate movement. Starting with a solidarity statement, CEAS and SIA surveyed Asian students to understand how they have faced different types of racism in their daily lives. Based on the racist comments collected from this survey, several posters were created and shared both on our social media channel and campus. Also, a blank whiteboard was set up next to those posters to let people freely write on about their experiences and share their opinions to make our school more inclusive, diverse and safe. Closing this stop-Asian hate campaign on campus, CEAS also organised a panel discussion on Anti-Asian Hate and Racism with three speakers working in different fields.
